I’ve found the pearl of greatest price!
My heart doth sing for joy;
And sing I must, for Christ is mine!
Christ shall my song employ.

Christ is my Prophet, Priest, and King;
My Prophet full of light,
My great High Priest before the throne,
My King of heavenly might.

Christ is my peace; he died for me,
For me he gave his blood;
And, as my wondrous Sacrifice,
Offered himself to God.

Christ Jesus is my All in All,--
My Comfort, and my Love;
My Life below, and he shall be
My Joy and Crown above.

Jesus! thou art the sinner’s Friend;
As such I look to thee;
Now, in the fullness of thy love,
O Lord! remember me.

Remember thy pure word of grace,--
Remember Calvary;
Remember all thy dying groans,
And, then, remember me.

Thou wondrous Advocate with God!
I yield myself to thee;

His blood can make the foulest clean--
His blood availed for me.

He speaks--and, list’ning to his voice
New life the dead receive;
The mournful, broken hearts rejoice,
The humble poor believe.

Hear him, ye deaf; his praise, ye dumb,
Your loosened tongues employ;
Ye blind, behold your Savior come;
And leap, ye lame, for joy.

How sweet the name of Jesus sounds
In a believer’s ear;
It soothes his sorrow, heals his wounds,
And drives away his fear.

It makes the wounded spirit whole,
And calms the troubled breast;
’Tis manna to the hungry soul,
And to the weary, rest.

Dear Name, the rock on which I build,
My shield and hiding-place;
My never-failing treasure, filled
With boundless stores of grace.

Jesus, my Shepherd, Savior, Friend,
My Prophet, Priest, and King,
My Lord, my Life, my Way, my End,
Accept the praise I bring.

Verse 5

I would thy boundless love proclaim
With every fleeting breath,
So shall the music of thy name
Refresh my soul in death.
